The Human Experience in Data
"Human-centered data experiences" and why it is important– Given how data can be easily manipulated to be extractive. How can we reimagine, reframe data to be less abstract purely as metrics, perceived as optimization targets, productized as mindless engagement funnels but as stories, decisions for human agency that truly impact the people at various touch points of the design experience.

Digital Cooperative– A Global Effort
Coopathon is an initiative incubated at The New School along with a host of non-profit cooperative organizations around the world. Along with other organizers, VisionFwd co-facilitated a 70+ person workshop from 20+ different organizations coming from London, Barcelona, Toronto, Hong Kong, Berlin, Ahmedabad, Brussels, San Francisco, along with homegrown folks in NYC and +++ to design a digital cooperative community.

Research-To-Startup Immersion | Patented Technology with GSA x QSTP – Doha, Qatar
Selected as one of the 25 top candidates from more than 500 applicants representing over 40 countries and invited them to a one-week intensive immersion in Doha, Qatar to explore the potential commercialization of high potential technologies developed in leading internationally renowned research laboratories administered by the Qatar Foundation. The outcome of the pitch extended an invitation to an EIR consulting project to further chart the vision forward for the nanotechnology patent and its commerciality.

Entrepreneurship: Ascend UC Berkley +Travonde Case Competition with guest Judge Steve Wozniak
Foster trans-generational community engagement with Travonde– Engaging young people to connect with their older generation navigating local services. Tina along with the help of the Ascend Team (UCBerkeley Business Student Group) led a Case Competition to a diverse panel of judges with entrepreneurial expertise that included Cal alum Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Inc.

Interdisciplinary at its core, this approach draws from qualitative research, behavioral science, service design, business strategy, and systems thinking—shaping a more holistic way of understanding design, business, and technology in service of human potential.

Humans, Machines & Our Augmented Intelligence Digital Future Panel
Understanding what and for whom we are designing is a responsibility we need to consider as a forethought. While we may not be able to foretell the ramifications of what emerging technology such as Artificial Intelligence, augmented reality, sensors/IoT can shape human perception potentially creating biases, influencing behaviors leading to behavioral change on society at scale that may be irreversible. It is critical to adopt human-centered lens through with consideration from a philosophical and ethical conversation in what technologist are launching in the world today and how it will shape the future of our next generation.
